- learnt a fancy new word to show off at parties: Idempodence. If an operation is executed several times and the outcome stays the same - which is the case with GET. POST on the other hand is not idempodent.
- realized that the developer tools tell you when and were something in your code is wrong - how convenient!
- understood that when making an ajax post request, you need to give it params in key/value form, otherwise Rails cannot process the request.
- at the end of the day we FINALLY made our example app work! Klaus' mini-twitter app can now add new tweets to the tweets timeline without reloading the whole page! :)
